The instant of greatest eclipse takes place on -1028 Mar 19 at 22:16:29 TD (15:06:38 UT1). This is 0.2 days before the Moon reaches perigee. During the eclipse, the Sun is in the constellation Aries. The synodic month in which the eclipse takes place has a Brown Lunation Number of -36496.

The eclipse belongs to Saros 13 and is number 85 of 85 eclipses in the series. Thus, the -1028 Mar 19 event is the last eclipse of the series . All eclipses in this series occur at the Moon’s ascending node. The Moon moves southward with respect to the node with each succeeding eclipse in the series and gamma decreases.

This is an extremely shallow partial eclipse. It has an eclipse magnitude of only 0.0058, while Gamma has a value of -1.5266. This is a very deep partial eclipse. It has an eclipse magnitude of 0.0058, while Gamma has a value of -1.5266.
